Calculates results immediately as you type using standard decimal precision. When calculating percentage change from a starting value of zero, the percentage shift is undefined because dividing by zero is not possible.

How do I calculate the percentage increase or decrease between two numbers?

Select the % Change tab, enter the starting value in the From box and the new value in the To box. The tool subtracts the starting value from the new value, divides by the starting value, and multiplies by 100.

In Discount & Tax mode, is sales tax calculated before or after the discount?

Sales tax is calculated on the discounted subtotal after your percentage discount has been subtracted, matching standard retail checkout rules.

Can I copy the calculated numbers into a spreadsheet or invoice?

Yes. Click Copy Result in the summary banner to copy the calculated figures directly to your clipboard.
